Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the fun stops – not in Knoxville! The city and surrounding area is packed with activities exclusive to fall, making the season even more special.
We’ve rounded up fall events fit for the whole family. Check them out below, then mark your calendars!
‘Mega Corn Maze’
Navigate your way through husky twists and turns with a corn compass at Maple Lane Farms’ annual “mega corn maze!” For chills and thrills, visit at night beginning Oct. 21, when it will be haunted!
The maze is open weekends throughout October.
Hayrides and Pumpkins
Weave your way through a corn maze, hop on a hayride, and pick your own pumpkin at Deep Well Farm this October. Then visit the farm animals and let the kids loose on a mega tube slide, gopher tunnel, rock-climbing walls, swings, and much more!
More Than Animals at the Zoo
Stimulate your senses at Zoo Knoxville’s 2022 Boo at the Zoo! With 21 treat stations, rides, festive lighting, fun inflatables, and theme nights (Princess, Ghostbusters, and Star Wars), the kids may not want to leave!
Hungry? Beastro, Graze Food Truck and Safari Smokehouse will be on hand. Adults can also drop by the Oktoberfest-themed garden at the Roaming Rhino Canteen.
Doggone Fun
Attend (for free!) the ninth annual Howl-O-Ween Pooch Parade & Pet Expo at the UT Gardens on Oct. 23 and try not to smile.
Delight in a parade of dogs wearing costumes, peruse an expo of educational booths, pet businesses, and rescue groups, and donate to a pet food drive for Companion Animal Initiative of Tennessee.
Enter your pooch in the parade for a small fee, and you’ll have the chance to win prizes!
Visit Superheroes
Put on your best costume and hit the Superheroes Trick-or-Treat Trail at Ancient Lore Village on Oct. 25!
Walk through the village trail and stop at eight dwellings where you can visit Batman, Black Widow, Harley Quinn, and Wonder Woman, to name a few. There will be candy, of course (bring your bag!), Halloween movies at the Nest Patio, and the Ancient Lore Village Food Truck!
Heritage Day
Experience the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of pioneer Southern Appalachian traditions of the fall harvest season at The Museum of Appalachia’s 2022 Fall Heritage Day.
On Nov. 3 and 4, come and watch demonstrations from basket makers, beekeepers, blacksmiths, broom makers, saw millers, sheep shearers, spinners, weavers, and other artisans. Don’t miss the spelling bees and storytelling, either!
Arts and Crafts Market
Support your local vendors and get early holiday shopping done at Ridgedale’s 2022 Hello Fall Vendor Market.
Shop the market on Nov. 19 at Ridgedale School from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pick up personal care products, baked goods, unique gifts, jewelry, knits, tumblers, crafts, and more.
Round out Your Day With Coffee at K Brew
Start or finish your day of fall fun at any of K Brew’s four locations in Knoxville.
Our skilled baristas will craft you a regular latte or espresso, though we recommend you try the seasonal Pumpkin Pie Latte — it’s a tasty twist on the favorite fall dessert! Brand new on our menu is the Toasted Spice Cold Brew for those wanting a sweet and refreshing treat. For those that want to skip the espresso, we have a mouth-watering Snickerdoodle Hot Chocolate with house-made cinnamon dolce syrup. Try them now before they’re gone for the next season of featured drinks! And don’t forget a hardy bagel and spread, like the Everything bagel with Bacon & Chive cream cheese.
You can also order ahead if you’re in a hurry to get to your next fall event. Enjoy the season!
