Our first K Brew Express on campus, the James A. Haslam II Business Building sits near the center of the University of Tennessee campus, and it is one of the busiest addresses in Knoxville on a weekday morning. Six stories, roughly 174,000 square feet, dozens of classrooms and team rooms, and a constant stream of students moving between accounting lectures, case competitions, and interviews. The crowd here is a mix worth watching: first year students still learning the shortcuts through campus, MBA candidates in blazers headed to a recruiting event, and professors carrying a stack of graded exams. Class change happens on a schedule, so the lobby goes from empty to full in about four minutes, then empties again. Our team has learned that rhythm well.

Our story at Haslam began in January 2024, when K Brew Express opened inside the college and became the first local business to operate on the University of Tennessee campus. That mattered to us. K Brew was founded in Knoxville, our leadership team came up through UT, and getting to serve students in the same halls we walked as undergraduates is the kind of full circle moment you do not plan for. The Express format is built for the ten minutes between classes: craft coffee, espresso drinks, and our New York style bagels, served fast and served warm. Same beans, same recipes, and the same great hospitality you find at our neighborhood stores, just moving at the speed of campus. We accept Vol Card, Dining Dollars, and Flex, so your meal plan works here exactly the way it does everywhere else on campus. In August 2024 we expanded to Fred Brown Hall, and we have continued to grow across campus since.
